Membership Requirements
Oakridge Pointing Dog Club

Conditions for membership:

  1. Applicant must attend two regularly
    scheduled meetings of the club annually.
  2. Applicant must participate in one event
    sponsored by the club annually.
  3. Applicant must be in good standings with
    AKC.
  4. Applicant must receive a two-thirds
    affirmative vote of the membership in  
    attendance at the meeting at which
    applicant's membership is presented.
  5. Upon approval, applicant shall be
    accepted, with voting privileges, for a one
    year probationary period. A member in
    good standing has one membership vote
    and could qualify for one spousal vote.
  6. Final membership approval is depending
    upon meeting the above conditions of
    membership, during the probationary
    period.

By becoming a member of the Oak Ridge Pointing
Dog Club you become part of a club with
approximately 60 members who share a love of
sporting dogs and the outdoors.  During informal
training days you have the opportunity to work your
dog with other member's dogs and get advice
from others if you want it. We also have club
members interested in showing, obedience and
agility training.  We have picnics and other social
events too.  The club sponsors AKC sanctioned
hunt tests in the spring and fall.
