Bandage Materials: *1 inch white medical tape
*2x2 or 3x3 gauze sponges (absorbent)
*bandage roll cotton or Kling rolled gauze
*ace bandage
*non-stick pads
+/- Vetwrap
Disinfectants: 3% hydrogen peroxide - useful to clean surface wounds as well as induce vomiting
*betadine solution - for deeper wounds - better than peroxide
Medications: Aspirin - not Tylenol, not Ibuprofen (Advil)
*Neosporin - antibiotic ointment for abrasions, shallow cuts
*Benadryl 25 mg - generic ok - dogs >30 lbs take 2 tablets for bee stings
*Saline Solution (for contact lens wearers) - to flush eyes or wounds
*Styptic powder/baking soda - help to stop bleeding
*Pepto Bismol tablets - keep in truck for diarrhea
Instruments: scissors
tweezers/thumb forceps - to remove ticks safely
*hemostats
+/- toenail trimmers

the truck. Some of the other items are useful to have with you in the truck since they can be useful by not needed as a
first line of first aid.
